If you’re wondering whether you have shingles or not you need to read below about the common symptoms and stages most shingle’s sufferers face:

Stage 1

Also known as the Prodromal stage, this is the first stage of shingles before any type of rash appears.

• Tenderness and swelling of lymph nodes in the body may occur.

• Tingling, burning and nerve sensations may occur where the shingles outbreak is going to occur. The common spots are on the back and chest, but can also include the head, neck arm or leg.

• Symptoms that resemble the flu may appear such as chills, stomach ache, headache, etc.

This stage is known as the Active stage and usually brings about the onset of a rash and blisters.

From there, you can decide on a natural treatment for curing your shingles quickly.

Research is now showing there may be a new kind of intestinal chicken pox that they are just beginning to understand. This type of chicken pox may stay dormant in our bodies and never cause any problems. Using oatmeal for your shingles can be done in two ways: first, you can mix the oatmeal with some water and apply it to specific, burning areas on your body..or..you can mix it in a cool bath and let your whole body soak.

3. VITAMIN C

We all know that vitamin C is known for boosting the fighting strength of our immune system…which is why research dating back to 1950 shows that an increase in vitamin C has been effective in reducing the pain associated with shingles – especially if taken when initial symptoms appear!

4. FRUITS AND VEGETABLES

The truth is…

Yes – you can..but the risk of getting shingles multiple times is very low. 

The reason you are less likely to get it again is because after a person has a case of the shingles, their body’s immune system forms a type of memory against the virus. If the shingle’s virus tries to re-activate, this ‘memory’ the immune system has formed will help with the needed response to the virus. Essentially, your body is creating an immunity to shingles…by having shingles.

Researcher Hung-Fu Tseng, PHD recently pulled information on over 6,000 individuals who recently had a case of the shingles. Tseng was then only able to find records of 30 people who had a recurrence of the virus.

While I only recommend naturally treating this virus, it is being said that for people who have had shingles once already, many doctors are no longer recommending a vaccine because of the body’s ability to form an immunity to the virus.

For those still worried about catching shingles again..there are a couple of simple, preventative things you can do:

1. Exercise Regularly

I know, it can be hard with our daily, hectic lives…but stress and anxiety literally kill your body’s ability to fight infection. Do yourself a favor and minimize the effects of anxiety and stress!

Shingles treatment is something that we need to take very seriously. It is important to get in to see a doctor within three days of noticing the rash. By doing this, you will be able to get the problem under control and also reduce the chances of shingles taking over your body.

You will notice that a cold bath is going to feel wonderful on your shingles. By making the decision to take a cool bath and then wrap the infected area with a wrap and also some calamine lotion, you will be able to get the pain and itch under control.

The proper treatment of shingles would not include a prescription medication from the doctor. After all, some of these prescriptions can be harmful for your body. Instead, use a lotion that is going to prevent itching. The more you itch the rash, the worse off you are going to be. This is why it is important to use an anti-itch cream before the problem gets out of control.

There are a number of things to be aware of about when figuring out how to cure shingles. It is important to get the shingles under control before they spread throughout your entire body. Shingles have also been known to affect the eyes.

This would be something that would be very painful and one could even lose their vision if the problem was not taken care of right away. Nobody wants to deal with the pain that comes with shingles. Complications with shingles can arise: If your blisters become infected, you may develop a bacterial infection known as cellulitis. When this happens, the area becomes warm, tender and red. Red streaks may form around the blister.

If you develop shingles, you need to keep the area clean. You can take a bath and clean the area with soap and water. Some may recommend that you use anti-itching lotions as part of your shingles treatment, but these often do more harm than good. When you are looking to cure shingles, it is best to turn to natural treatments as they come with less risk of side effects. Speak to your doctor about what is needed for your condition. This is one disease that you do not want to delay treatment with as complications need to be avoided.

You can either develop chickenpox again, or it may appear as shingles. If it comes back as shingles, you will usually notice a strip, band or other small area on one side of your face or body. Those who have weakened immune systems and those over the age of 60 are most susceptible. Thankfully, there is hope and you can get an effective treatment.

You will find that tap water also helps to dry and soothe your skin. Often you will find that over-the-counter pain medications can also be of great help.

A well rounded, shingles treatment can also come in many other forms. You may wish to try biofeedback, acupuncture or transcutaneous electrical nerve stimulation. Discuss the pros and cons of each to determine if they are right for you. If you have long-term pain, cognitive-behavioral therapy can be of assistance also.

There are natural treatments that help immensely with the pain of shingles. Take time to learn about these treatments to determine which is right for you.
